In short, the always victory of the hero serves as an escapism and inspiration to the viewers.

Viewers generally connect themself with the hero and get invested emotionally in their journey. Due to this, they want to see them succeed. A victory for the hero correlates with the audience's desire and provides a fulfilling experience.
